The Lamp

Three men who work for an AIDS agency in D.C. take a break and go to Malcolm X Park for lunch. One is a case worker, one is a counselor and one is the agency’s executive director.

Partially obscured in the bushes, the three men stumble upon a lamp. As they rub the lamp a genie appears and says, "Normally I would grant you three wishes, but since there are three of you, I will grant you each one wish."

The case worker goes first. "I would like to spend the rest of my life living in a huge house in St. Thomas, with no money worries and surrounded by muscular men who worship me." The genie grants him his wish and sends him off to St. Thomas.

The counselor goes next. "I would like to spend the rest of my life living on a huge yacht cruising the coast of Africa, with no money worries and surrounded by muscular men who worship me." The genie grants him his wish and sends him off to Africa.

Last, but not least, it is the executive director’s turn. "And what would your wish be?" asks the genie.

"I want them both back after lunch," he replies.
